About Portland Bapipe Player Dan DelMain

Oregon Bagpiper Dan DelMain started playing at age 12 after being inspired by all the bagpipers at the Portland Highland Games. After private instruction and once he felt comfortable with playing, he joined the Sir James McDonald Pipe Band. In college, he performed with the Prince Charles Pipe Band in San Francisco California. In 2003, Dan DelMain and the Prince Charles Pipe Band won the Grade III World Championships in Glasgow Scotland, an incredible feat.

He know resides in his hometown of Portland Oregon. He currently instructs the Sir James McDonald Pipe Band and competes actively with the Portland Metro Pipe Band. In his free time, he Portland Bagpipes for funerals, weddings and parties. Let him know if you are interested in his services.
